Ok just started the other day...

When the car is running, with the car in park... You step on the brake and there is very loud clicking sound coming from the auto shifter..

I would assume this is the release mechanism for the shifter...

Anybody else having this issue?

 

This is normal, mine does it also. What you are hearing is the shift interlock; it prevent the car from being put in gear unless your foot is pushing on the brake pedal.
