Will a 550 lift cam work with stock valve springs in a 2003 GT?

Just put comp cams in my motor, it's a .550 lift, I bought the valve springs but they weren't put in. Will I be safe running it like this if I still shift at 5800rpms, give or take a few?

I would call comp cams for that info. I'm sure they have a tech line you can call.

Comp will tell you that you need them. To be safe you really should install them. If you have any questions nick at modular head shop is the one to speak with. The guy is a genious when it comes to heads/cams
