So for future reference, 95-98 power seat plugs for sure won't work with the newer seats plugs for the power options. The newer seats have lumbar support I guess, the older ones didn't. I'll see how the electrician does tomorrow. Yes, I will be taking out the old black seat belt piece. I don't have the tool to take it out, the electrician does.

Thos are my seats! Looks great though, way to go on the install, I don't blame you for not messing with the wiring.

God gave someone the skill to do electrical wiring without killing themselves....it wasn't me. He gave me the ability to give electricians cash.

After the x-pipe, 4.10 gears, and chip to adjust the speedometer due to the gears. The seats were the big thing and will be until I get the wiring issue taken care of. I need to slow it down for awhile. Moving back to the states and getting the car fixed up added up.

This is a great story. I go to the auto electrician to get my 97 wiring harness to hook up to the 02 Seats and he was the most rude and unhelpful person I met. He didn't even look inside the car. He told me I would need to drop the car off and he would work on it inbetween working on other cars because he didn't know how much work it would take, he said he could have the car for up to two full days. He told me if I wanted to have him just work on it and not other cars it would be "guaranteed" to cost me 3 hours labor ($75 per hour) even if it didn't take that long. He was not a nice person. I have other words but the language filter would make it sound too funny. Sooooooo, I go to my local Mustang performance shop and ask them if they could refer me to another electrician and they said they do the re-wires at least once a week. I was in and out in 30 minutes (works great by the way) and he charged me almost nothing. I'm tempted to drive back by let him know how nice my seats work for less then 30 minutes work. Sorry had to vent.

Nope, different functions. Tilt, lumbar support, angle up, angle down. The 97GT didn't have any of that.

Be sure and tell everyone you know about that jerk of an electrician! How do these people stay in business acting the way they do?

I don't know how this guy does it. I told the two Ford Dealerships in the area and I told the performance shop. I also told the one auto electrician the guy called a "rip off artist". Last thing I did after that is I called the jerk and told him that less than an hour after I left his place I had my seat working and I got charged about half of his hourly price, he said a naughty word and hung up. The performance shop here specializes in Mustangs but does all kinds of cars, I'm sure they will get the word out.
