Weight loss

I have a 98 GT. I have been reading how heavy it is. Been looking at the specs and was wondering were all the weight is? Is there any cheap and easy ways to cut the weight down without chopping the roof off??...lol

take out the seats, they're pretty heavy. There's not a ton of easy weight to take out (other than spare, jack, etc) and still keep it a comfortable environment. And unless you go for racing style weight savings, it's just easier to make up for the extra weight with more power. Honestly, they're not that heavy.

I work across from a trucking company. My '03 GT, with 3/4 tank of gas, and '03 cobra wheels, with the 275's front, and 315's rear(just saying, cause they probably add some over stock), weighs 3380#, with me out. Not really a heavy weight, by any means.

Yeah that's not bad at all-people were saying 34 to 3,600-I thought that was a little heavy. But overall the car handles a lot better then I thought it would.
