Any of u guys have one of these chips. I ran across one for $300, but im worried about how much performance it will give me. It states 25% increase in power, but i hardly belive this will do that much. Do u guys think it is worth, thanx for the help

 

Sorry, but unless you car is highly modified, I cant see picking up 25% from ANY chip. Considering even on a 200hp car that would mean a 50hp increase. If anyone could sell something to give you 50 rwhp for $300 bucks, they wouldnt need to advertise, and they would never have any in stock. Stang guys would be lined up at thier doors.

By the way, most mail order chips give you extra power through two methods, they either add timing, lean out your a/f or both. Either one can be done safely if done on a dyno, but I just wouldnt trust my stangs engine to any type of mail order plug and go type device.
