Question Unusal start up

So, I got off work and started my 94 gt up.
Started up with ease, at idle it seriously sounded like it had a cam. But it's completely stock besides a cai.
The rpms were really low at idle and had to keep the clutch in at neutral to keep the car from turning off. Without the clutch pressed in it would cut off. Keep in mind it was in neutral the entire time. The rpms would be around 500 or something like that. The engine was having a hard time staying on in neutral. I cut it off and let it sit and cranked it right up. And ran normal.
What could have caused this?

Vacuum leak, bad injector, I've had a similar thing happen a couple times. I still haven't figured out what is wrong ( haven't really tried )

Usually when it sounds like it is damming its because it is misfiring. Possibly a failed injector or spark plug a simple test is to turn the car on and unplug each injector whichever cylinder you unplug and it doesn't change the way the car is running that is your bad cylinder. Sorry if I didn't explain it very well but try it.
