Simple question...if I got the quarterhorse chip and software would I still need to go to a shop and get a dyno tune? Doesn't make sense if I'd have too...

 

i feel like a mail order tune is good for small things but when it comes to a turbo or supercharger i would like to get it on a dyno and tuned that way.

1. you get the best possible tune.

2. you get to see the numbers that your new turbo gets you.

maybe thats just me.

 

Tuning a turbo mustang is very difficult. Probably the main reason most people just go with a supercharger. You really should have it dyno tuned by a tuner that has a lot of experience with turbo tuning. A turbo really does push a lot more air than a charger and is much more difficult to regulate. Find a good tuner and talk to them first.

 

Honestly that's exactly what I was thinking but a buddy of mine told me to do BOTH so it's more accurate of a tune....idk I think I should leave the tuning to the professionals. Thanks for the help guys
