Tuner

Anyone got the Bama tuner from AM? Is it worth it? My car came with a diablo chip but no handheld tuner. Should I buy the Bama?

This is a question we get a lot!
The chips do and adjust the same parameters as a hand-held unit but are far less convenient for re-tunes(chip has to be removed from car, mailed to us, tunes written on it and mailed back to you) and they do not offer DTC scanning/reading/clearing which can be very helpful.

I definitely recommend unmating your PCM from the chip and getting a nice hand-held unit like the SCT SF3. With the SCT SF3 you get free tunes for life and the service/support you have come to expect from our Tuning Specialists at Bama. This will keep putting a smile on your face as you continue to upgrade the car more and more and receive more tunes from us. Once you have the tuner, tunes are conveniently emailed to you, so that all you have to do is go to your email, download the new tunes, flash them onto your car's PCM and you're off! These re-tunes can be for new parts, new gasoline octane, new gears or even just a simple update. All for free and for the entire time you own the tuner and the car together. Can't beat that!

I say go for it!
Please don't hesitate to PM me directly if you have any questions in the future! Have a wonderful holiday!

Approximately one month ago I ordered the Sct Bama Tuner online from American Musscle. I paid $379.00 and they shipped it within days. First, let me say that dealing with American Musscle customer service was great. They really took the time to explain the options with the tuner and never rushed me off the phone. This is my first performance tuner to my first mustang. I have a 2011, auto V6

The wife so made me get the auto. Let me say, the tuner made a huge difference into the performance. The car shifts perfect, never skips a gear, pulls harder, no acceleration delay, faster when you give it the juice. The tuner was the best $379 spent to enhance your stang driving experience.

American Musscle stands behind there product and from my one experience they have my business for all my stang needs.

+1 on what he said. Especially if you don't have a lot of experience with tuning etc.... AM has been fantastic to deal with and my tune is without a doubt the best thing I've done for my car (except for the stripes- those added at least 20 HP).

Thanks everyone! How would I remove the chip that is in it?(sorry but never done this, it came with the chip in) It's a must that I get the SCT handheld cause the chip is not set to the octane I run anymore and I have a new throttle body.
