Tire Advice Needed
Tire Advice Needed
I need advice on what tires to buy. I want something with a pretty good amount of grip and I'm not sure on what to purchase or which brand. I'd like to hear mustang owner opinions haha. Current tire size I'm running all the way around are 245/45/17
We outfit a lot of vehicles with these tires ...

What he said. Is your car driven year round in all conditions or is it a shine only driver? That will help decide which tires will best fit.
Theres also a sticky in the General Mustang chat section with a butt load of tire reviews that you would benefit from reading as well.
The car is my daily driver but I also drive it "recreationally" :P. I'm not looking for anything specific besides something that can provide me with good traction and minimum wheel spin or slip.

I've loved my BFGoodrich G-Force Sports. They've got a new model of the tire, with just an updated name, but they're quiet, comfortable, and have great grip. Not to mention they've very reasonably priced.
Hankooks are garbage. So is Khumo and Falcon. People who say these tires are good are cheap and don't know good tires. Best bang for the buck is Nitto. 555's are great all around tires depending on how much power you have for the rear. I hear BFG is a good tire but I haven't used them in years. Toyo is my brand of choice.
I wrecked when my car had NT555s so I'm not a fan of them. Also Sumitomos suck as well. I currently have Cooper tires and so far so good, they also have a 40k mile warranty.
My favorites so far have been:
Bridgestone Potenza RE760 Sports
I'm running 255/45-18s now.
They hook so well in dry summer and wet winter. I've never had an issue with them! Plus they look awesome and don't cost a fortune!
