Throttle body cleaning

So I just got a 96 GT and I'm trying to do all the regular maintenance just so I know where it's at. Is it safe to just use regular throttle body cleaner on the throttle body? I don't wanna go wrecking anything!

I use 3m throttle body cleaner, safe on the components, no issues for 5 years.
