Which taillights?

I have a 95 GT convertible. I love it a lot!!! I really like its horizontal taillights. You can tell it has a 5.0L. I know a lot of people change out the taillights for 96-98's. So what are your thoughts on them? I know, the 1st Mustang was like the 96-98's, I still like mine though. You will not change my mind; but I want to know what you think. Thanks!!

I like my vertical tail lights, but the horizontal lights are certainly distinct. I dont recall any other 3-stripe horizontial lights on a mustang, although I may be wrong. personally, I wouldnt care too much about what other people think of the lights as long as youre a fan of 'em.

I never hated the '94-'95 tails at all, I know Ford quickly went back to verticals after getting guff from people on the topic though...it makes the car unique from other years and thats a good thing.

I also have a 95 GT Vert in Yellow, and as much as they are different, I too like them as is. Something a little different, distinct about it.
Are you looking at swapping for the 1996 style?

Well to be honest I have never understood why people think the vertical "bubble" lights on the 96-98 look better than the 94-95 horizontal lights. A couple of points. One, the horizontal lights "flow" with the car. As they were intended to. The 96-98s look more like an after thought(which they were)(and more like something from the 71-78 cars, which I personally dont' like). Second, they are a moderned interpretation of the original mustang's tri taillights. Third, everyone gets all excited about the 05+ cars being all retro and stuff(don't get me wrong, I do too, I own one) but if the truth is seen, the 94 mustang was to me infact the first retro stang. It incorporated many styling cues from the early stangs. C-scoop, 3-bar taillights, has a fastback feel, dash looks like the 69-70s, and maybe the 2 most important features, the horse was back in the grill and people could once again tell it was a mustang without having to read it on the bumper(even though it was there anyways). All these things were a modern interpretation of the original on a brand new car and the car didn't end up looking like a 69-70 modernized car like the 05+. Needless to say I will always love the 94-98 cars. Both taillights look good. But, HORIZONTALS RULE!!!!!!!
