Hello, my name is Mike and I recently purchased a 96 Cobra. I've already been shopping for various add-ons and came across the "Powered by SVT" coil covers. The descriptions I've read say they fit most 4.6 and 5.4 DOHC engines, but I saw one description that says 99-09 4.6 and 5.4 DOHC.
My question is will the coil cover fit on the 96-98 engines, or can it be made to fit with some minor modifications? Thanks in advance for any help!
Sorry I don't have any pics of the car yet, I'm hoping to take delivery of it today...

 

I think that the difference is that 96-98 cars had coil packs, while 99-04 cars had coil-on-plugs. I'm really not sure about Cobras, but I think it's the same way. If so maybe that has to do with it?

 

have not found any covers for 96-98's that look good. the ford ones are for 99 + cobras. and yes the 96-98's had 2 coil packs...
