I was thinking about getting stripes on my car but the hood scoop has me doubting if it would look good. Does anyone have stripes besides the 04GT 40th special edition model?? Pictures would help make the decision, thanks!

I've seen the Roush ones but the scoops (like the silver picture) seem to limit what you can do. Thanks for the pictures. I would like to see the top of the scoop a little more.
Any opinions on how people might think it looks??

Chris, is that your car?? That is exactly what I was looking for. What is the width on those?
Where did you get your K&N Intake? Which model is it?

Hey John,
Honestly, although I love stripes, I think the torch red looks great as it is. The Mach 1 chin spoiler really set it off nicely, but I don't know about stripes. I think I would stick with it as is. I think stripes would just kind of clash. Just my .02

Another option that I have yet to see on another color, and have only seen on one other yellow, is to follow the contours of the hood, as my pictures show.
You could use black to match the chin spoiler and perhaps paint your rear wing black as well. (I had the Mach chin spoiler for a while, but thing kept working its way loose so I took it off, looked really good IMO with the black on the hood.)
Just a suggestion, haven't seen any other mustangs with the same "stripe" as mine, besides one, so you'll be unique.
Also, the black goes under the hood scoop on mine, which is why I included the overhead picture.

why thank you, thank you very much.
Not sure if I came up with the idea on my own or if I had seen them on a car before I decided to do it, had the idea before I got the car.
when I started thinking about going through with it I decided to see if there were any other ideas I liked out there and ran across stripes that are close to the ones I got at www.graphic-express.com, but none of them wrap around the back of the hood or go all the way to the front of the hood. Don't know why they didn't go all the way to the grill, but whatever, mine are better. Yea me!

sorry I hadnt checked the post in a bit. The stripes are 8" and you put 1" between them. Here is what you need. the ebay site is where i got stripes from. the install is a little rough. just give yourself some time to work out all the air bubbles. I got my K&N from a speed shop my Dad delivers to so it was at a 30% discount. The model is
Product Numer 57-2519-3
Product Specifications
Product Style: FIPK
Estimated Horsepower Gain: 10.07 HP @ 4945 RPM
Type: Gen II
Stripes came from here.
