My friend and I are rebuilding his 99 GT. He baught a brand new motor for the car and just replaced the cams with some Comp Cams. He now has a set of brand new stock cams and he wants to see if maybe I could sell them. Are they worth selling and if they are how much do you think he should ask for them. Thanks to everyone in advance.

 

I don't know how well they would sell. Most people upgrading to PI heads from non PI heads/cams etc. would get upgraded cams I assume. They could be sold or used for a core charge to a place that does reground factory cams like Sean Hyland or something. Maybe call around, who knows?

 

Alot of guys with Non-PI cars will acctually buy and put PI cams in as it does provide a increase. I normally see teh cams sell for 100-150 bucks. I think its about a 15rwhp increase at peak and maybe 20-25 in other places across the powerband.

 

Thanks... Im asking on this subject because I have a 5.0 and I dont really know too much about mod motors. I also forgot to mention that they have the cam gears on them too. Is that even worth raising the price? And do you think I should post under For Sale & Wanted for 150? Also... do you know the specs on the cam ?
