sidepainted mirrors

You can do it two ways. Either take yours and have someone bondo then to fill in the grainy plastic. Or you can sand them. It wouldnt be much just to get them painted where you will run into money is if you have them smooth them mirrors up for you.

Interesting idea. I am not sure that the painters here know the Ford USA paint codes though. It would look rubbish if they couldn't match the paint properly.
Thanks for the info, another thing to add to the ever growing list.
As I haven't got the Mach 460, it should be a little less long winded than the instructions in the article.

I bought the cobra mirrors and had them painted to match. There was no sanding
involved they were ready to be painted out of the box. I have a friend that owns a 96 mustang and he had his OE mirrors painted and they turned out just as good.
We compared price after he had is sanded and filled and painted our cost was about the same. I paid 250.00 for the mirrors and 125.00 to have them painted. They are real easy to put on and I love the way it turned out.

Hey fordstang... where did you find cobra mirrors.. I have been wanting to do the same thing, but cannot find any replacement 2003 + Cobra mirrors, I was not going to ask a Ford Parts person because I am sure that they want HUGE $$$ for them...
