Seafoam anyone?

Has anyone on here ever used seafoam on tere 4.6 before?

My GT has just over 130k miles and figures the engine could use a good cleaning out.

Anyone have experience with this. Just wondering if it could hurt my engine in any way if i use it properly.

Used properly, nope, should work fine.

I ran it through teh cobra and also my wifes 01 v6 she had. Stuff works great.

I wouldnt do it with teh engine cold, but also not full running temp. Just crank it, let it idle a couple of minutes and then shut it off. Remove a vacum line (off the intake, somewhere past the throttle body) and have someone crank the car. Now as you let the vaccum line suck the contents in, you may have to have someone sit in the car to keep it running.

I cant remember if i put the whole can in or not at one time. Anyway, you let it sit in there about 10min or so, then crank the car. Its going to smoke like mad and blow a bunch crap out of the tail pipes.. thats a good thing . Go easy on it for a bit to make sure it works all of the seafoam out of the systm and it should be good to go.

There are a few versions of seafoam but the product i'm talking about is one you suck up from a vacum tube in your engine.

It does a great job of cleaning grime and carbon build ups off of the internals of your engine.
