Good Deal? '01 Cobra 'vert -- 10,000 miles -- $24,000

I am turning in my lease and looking at going new, or very slightly used for my next ride.

I found a 2001 Cobra Convertible, 10,000 miles, **** near flawless perfect condition, super clean and for $24,000.

I know that the '99 had some issues and they were fixed for the 2001, but I am also reading about a teksid block being replaced with a reported "weaker" windsor block.

Is there anything specifically I should look for in the 2001 Cobra's when possibly buying, and also -- is it a good deal?

Thanks for much for the help on this great site.

24k for a 01 cobra seems way too high. Thats almost 03 cobra terretory.

The 01 Cobra just doen't have the performacne to match the 03 mach 1 or cobra to be that expensive. heck you can get a mach1 for around 18k these days. granted you can't get vert. I'd look around a bit.

I'd pay the extra few bucks and get an 03 or an 04 cobra... There's an 04 for sale for 25k with about 20k miles. Seems a little low, but I can't afford it anyway so it doesn't matter to me...

See, I wish I could find one of those nice Terminator Cobra's for that price here in Florida or up in Michigan. ****. My ultimate would be a Mach1, I don't really need a Cobra. The Mach is the best bet for me...but I can't find one in my range.

If you haven't looked, you should check out the F/S section on themach1registry.com.

Definitely been over to the M1R.com area, but I am looking for one that I can trade my car in for. Kinda of an odd thing, but I can't afford to keep my current car and get a Mustang.

I wish someone needed a trade for a family car!

Just wait and keep looking. Sooner or later you'll find the right car for descent price.
