When it hits a small or large bump in the road, sometimes just a crack, there is a knock, rattle, noise on the left side of the car. I have had the dash out and the all plastic panels including the doors apart, To no avail. It has done it since purchased in May 02 used with 20000 miles. Now only 32000 miles. Dealer was unable to find the noise . The noise does not happen on all occasions of hitting road imperfections. It can be heard with the top down, too. It's not driving me totally crazy because we use the car only in the warm months and with the top down. And the radio is on loud!!!(mach). Some of the other threads were saying there was a noise from the exhaust that is similar. I guess that is why when all the interior dash and door were out the noise was still there. I even took the shrould under the wipers out. Nothing seems to help in finding this. Any IDEAS. Please help.

just athought probably wrong but what about a loose shock?

 

when you hear it, is it a single knock or does it do it multiple times on each occasion?
