I'd suggest Castrol GTX 5W 20W.

ive used it before. I dont run it by itself though. It works fairly well to help lube the top end. Also their fuel treatment is great for desiels.

i use whatever 520 they put in the car at Express, so its usually valvoline. although if you're going to do it yourself, get the Ford 520 from wal-mart. its cheap and a synth blend.

I think Mobil 1 is the best oil you can buy for the money. Especially now since they introduced the new 5W-20 viscosity for Ford products since 2001: http://www.mobiloil.com/USA-English/MotorO...il_1_5W-20.aspx

I know Amsoil and Redline are good synthetics too, but not sure if they are worth the extra $$.

I also put Mobil 1 ATF in the manual tranny of my 95 GT, and it made it a lot easier going into gear, especially in the colder weather.

My 2005 GT will start getting Mobil 1 at the first oil change.

I use Motorcraft 5W20 and Motorcraft filter FL 820-S

Motorcraft 5W30 in the Roush though, per the Roush manual.
