This is the slave cd player that was in the 94-2000 Mustangs. The eject button now doesn't do anything.

I pulled the deck out and opened the case, but nothing looks broken or missing. Any ideas?

 

When you push the "eject" buttom does it sound like its trying to eject?
If so, take a credit card/drivers license/another cd and push it into the slot, sliding it back and forth/up and down. This will make the player kick the other cd out. I had this problem and used my drivers license, after a couple of tries it popped out the stuck cd.

 

Are you sure a CD is in there?

 

It Works Ive done that before (Ex: Credit Card, Another CD,etc..)

 

hmmm. I just went out to the garage and tried it. Pushing the eject button does nothing - no noise, nothing. Every other button on the cd player works. The cd that's stuck in there plays fine.

Tried poking another cd in the slot - only goes in about 1/3 of the way - moving it around like picking a lock, nothing.

Crap! I'm selling the car anyway, but it still drives me nuts because that's the only thing in the car that doesn't work. I'm ready to bid on one over at ebay, since there are a lot of them there. Hopefully I can get one for less than $50...
