Yesterday after work I got in my car and the driver's window would not go down. This morning it was fine. This afternoon after work it did the same thing again. I park where the hot afternoon sun hits the driver's side. I am thinking the problem is heat related and once it cools off it goes back to normal.

Any opinions? Other than reversing the way I park the car?

 

I know the exact reason this is happening............can you say Karma?? I know you can.

 

Maybe just maybe theres too much heat build up in the switch causing the contacts to bend out to far?

 

Does the motor make noise like its trying to move, or is there no sound?

 

No sound.

I reversed the car and the afternoon sun hit the passenger side and no problem. I guess it is the heat.

 

I wonder if the heat is causing some contacts somewhere to seperate.

 

I never have a problem when i park my bike in Wal-Mart parking lot

i think it probably is heat related.

a couple weeks ago I had to go down to Montgomery, which is a good bit warmer than Birmingham. Anyhow, after coming back out to my car, I did the one-touch window down thing, then started my a/c.

When I tried to get the drivers window to go back up, it wouldn't. I could here something "click", not the button you push, but something near the dash, but it just wouldn't go up, and it was horribly hot inside.

Well by the time I get back into town (1 hour drive) I tried it again, and it rolled up.
