NOS part question

Hi, I come in peace from Moparland.

My friend who drives a convertible superbeetle and some kind of saab got a NOS Mustang head (a single) in some kind of auction (WHY?!?!?) and asked me if there was any demand for it and how to price it. I might be able to help him if it were a Chrysler product, but I am totally ignorant on Ford matters.

I was hoping some here might be able to shed some light on it for me.

M6049D46 is the part #. TIA for any info. I want to help my buddy here even though I think he did something stupid. I don't know, maybe that's *why* I want to help him.

That's a Ford Performance nee Ford Racing nee Ford SVO/SVT 2V performance head, aluminum, race ready for a 4.6L 2V, say a Mustang GT of 96-04 variety, maybe. Looks to be the left/driver's side head, but I can't be sure. If someone's looking for this, sure, it can be worth a penny, but without both...

I mean, they're pretty sweet if you want them on the 2v 4.6. If they're hard to find (and they seem to be) then asking is whatever he thinks and let the market determine. I'd say 200 easy, but that's me, the non pro. I just wanted to know what it was.

Welcome aboard!
