Looks do count…although everyone fights this statement! Various evidence states it does matter! Look at all types of magazines from automotive and beauty magazines. I see a lot of people talking about ricing out a mustang. Well, unless I am really missing something this would be a clear cut example of that. It's one thing not to like hood pins on a car, but it is another to have to choose between fake ones or real ones. This reminds of the time I was wondering around autozone looking at all the pretty rice stuff and came across a wonderful find. What's this.....simulated zeus fastener sickers to put on my car to make it look like I have lexan racing windows. I knew then I hit the utopia of the aftermarket parts. I try not to comment on a lot of the crazy stuff that I see or read but this beats all. I would expect more from a company that manufactures the shaker hood scoop and or sytem. Or the fact that they want to charge $280.00 bucks for an exhaust tip. Well anyways rant over, that's pretty funny.

 

I didn't read the release and didn't realize they were fake. That's rediculous.

hood pins are pretty useless anyways IMO.. .they were popular in the 60's and 70's when hood latches were very heavy.

 

A new low for CDC.....but,

...there was a time when a hot Mustang needed REAL hood pins.

Most people use them for extra added security. Latch failure is common on the 87-93 cars. I am not sure on the newer cars. Now if its a daily driver I see it as useless.

 

i could make real hood pins with tinfoil 3yards of yarn and alot of masking tape
