Looking for some opinion's on a used 04 Mach 1. Found an Azure blue with 6600 miles on it, manual transmission, checked the carfax website and everything looks good. Been sitting at a Ford dealership for about 2 and a half months now.
One thing that I am concerned with is that once the dealership took possesion of this car the first thing they did was took it to the auto auction to try to sell it there. And obviously it did not sell. Is this anything to be concerned with? Is it possible there are major problems with this car that the dealer is not telling? Still plenty of factory warranty left on this car. I don't know much about selling cars, but taking a basically brand new car to the auto auction sounds kind of fishy????
Also, the dealer and I have settled on a price of $20,000 for this car . I think this is a very good price as long as everything is sound with this car.
I do live in the mid-west, with winter here, could be another reason this car has been sitting for so long. Anyone's opinion on this matter would be greatly appreciated!

Have you gotten to test drive it? See if you can have a trustworthy mechanic look it over if you have any doubts. $20K for a Mach 1 sounds like an excellent deal. Probably so low because of what you said...it's winter time; who's gonna drive a 300 horsepower car this time of year?

KBB trade in value is $19,800 in excellent condition. You are in the ballpark. You might like to check www.Mach1Registry.com for some additional info.

Azure blue is my fave of all the Mach colors. My guess is like the others said...being winter here in the midwest and the 05's being released makes me believe as well the reason they tried the auction. I'd try to get them down a bit more and jump all over it...that is after a good inspection.

Thanks for the feedback from everyone so far! Going down tomorrow to take another look and another test drive. If everything checks out allright, I will be the proud owner of an 04 Mach 1 by the end of the day tomorrow.

The price sounds about right, and you won't regret your purchase.
