Motor Trend's design contest for SN95
Anybody remember when Motor Trend had a design contest for the "upcoming" all-new 1994 Mustang? Well, I was sorting thru some old junk in my garage, and stumbled upon my drawings for this contest! When was that? 1989, 1990? Keep in mind, I was just a kid, and the most powerful computer I had ever used was an Apple II! :hiding:
Man, today's kids are like work-from-home car designers with Photoshop, etc.
When the real 'Stang finally came out, I was surprised to see a resemblance to my interior design....
Even the dash clock (R.I.P) is there!
Anyhow, here are my old drawings, for your amusement!

AWD was closer to the mark than FWD, IMO!I imagine the 5.7 idea came from my dad. He worked at GM for like 25 years! I don't think it was meant to but a Chevy engine in, but rather a new 5.7L Ford.
You are probably wondering why an Alero driver is browsing the Mustang boards. I've always had friends with Mustangs, and always had a desire to own one. I test drove some during 1995-1997, but I found they were a little too cramped for my comfort. I'm not a big guy at 6'1", but it still felt too small. I am very, very seriously considering an '05 or '06 GT. I am still considering test-driving an '04 Mach before they are gone.
