#1
as you guys know youre pretty limited on what kind of pre-built sub boxes you can fit into a mustangs trunk. i want to take down the amp rack so i can fit a bigger box in. what is involved in taking it down? just wondering if you guys have done it, and if so could you give me some tips.

you will have to lay on your back in the trunk basically. I believe you remove hte amps first and then you should have bolts that you can undo to remove the box itself. It comes straight down so its not a fun task, but shouldnt be to terribly hard.

not to sure on this but i dont think the amps will mono for a sub i think you would have to use a seperate amp for the sub also remember that the amps you currently have are high input and if your using an after market head unit you will need to wire the amped out put for the stock system and use an rca output for the aftermarket amp and sub i think thats maybe someone on here can confirm or deny that

You need to get the scosche adapter from crutchfield if you want to put an aftermarket HU in a mach equipped car. You can put a 3 way speaker in the door, but any thing over 2 way is a waste of money. And you wont be able to run a sub off of the stock amps not enough power, get a nice separate amp for it.
