Lowering the GT
Okay, I have a bunch of things I want to get for the GT before next spring but most of them (wheels, tires, TB) are going to require saving up some cash. I wanted to sneak in one more mod before Christmas so it’s going to have to be a cheaper one.
I think I’m going to shy away from a performance mod and actually work on the looks for a bit.
I want to get the car lowered a bit, not too crazy but probably 1.5”. I was planning on going with the Eibach Pro-Kit.
I’ve heard good things about these springs, does anyone have any thoughts on them.
Also, if I’m only lowering 1.5, do I need to do anything else to the car or replace anything else to install the springs. I guess I would need an alignment once they settle?
TIA

You will have to have an alignment.. usually about 2 weeks for the springs to completly settle.
Ive been in a few cars with teh pro-kit. Its a nice ride, not too rough. But when you start getting on them, you can defintely tell a difference between stock.
I would go ahead and replace the spring isolaters with some poly urethane ones from somewhere like maximummotorsports.com. That way you dont ever have to worry with the rubber ones giving out.
