Japanese dude with 515HP Saleen GT!

Check it out: 2001 Saleen Mustang. You know this guy catches all kinds of crap for having an American car over there. Very cool!

like when u have to pay a toll on a bridge there will be special lanes for people to whiz by, those people have one of those transmitter things that automatically pay, so you dont have to worry about the hassle of stopping and getting money and slowing down your commute. they have a system like this on the golden gate bridge, only its called "fastrac" here.

basically saves time/effort

anwyay (back on topic) kudos to that guy for driving a Saleen in a place where American cars are frowned upon

Gotta give this guy credit for daring to be different and willing to pay for it. I've seen a few Japanese magazines aimed at people there who like American cars. They even have their own edition of Lowrider magazine! Saw quite a few F-bodies and other GMs in the Yokohama area when I visited (a long time ago). There are even a few companies that make aftermarket parts for "our" cars. The DCX stuff seems popular at the moment. If you think domestic pricing + AMV is bad here, you should see the prices the importers there charge for cars like the S197 Mustang. One of them even listed a Saleen S7 (TT ver.) as being available.

I honestly don't think he gets a lot of crap for having a Mustang over there, not a Saleen Mustang anyway. Kinda like most of us would respect a well done Skyline, NSX, or Supra... I think those guys over there would appreciate a Saleen, maybe thats just me though.
