Idle problem

Some part of my intake manifold broke and and a hose went out on me too.i purchased another one and installed it along with some new sparkplugs.we pluged everything in and before i out the throttle body and plenum i decided to clean it a bit.when i started the car it felt accelarated and the exhaust is loud.when im coming to a stop and when i press on the clutch ready to go my rpms go a lil past 2krpms.Any idea what it could be please help.thanks

Sounds like a vacuum leak somewhere. You may have popped a hose off somewhere. Grab a can of carb cleaner and spray a light mist around the engine and listen for the motor to rev up. Then try to pin point where the vacuum leak is. Also did you fix your cracked intake manifold?

You may need to reset you iac. Look it up on google for the exact steps, but basically you have to go through a couple sets to let your computer re-learn where to idle. Usually a big problem with 94-95 5.0's but it is worth a shot. It's free, easy and only takes like 45 mins so it can't hurt.
