Watched the episode again........once they added the Vortech Supercharger.......the Shaker lost its function and now is just for looks.

What a waste.

Actually, Vortech and Procharger have kits you can buy to make the Shaker work on the Mach 1s, but I don't know if it'll work with the CDC system. Maybe with a little fabrication you can make it work. I believe CDC might have something in the works as well...I know I read it somewhere...I'll let you know if I find the article and I'll post it.

BTW, Dark02Pony is right...the shaker doesn't really add hp, but it makes throttle response better than stock.

cdc does make a kit to make the shaker functional, however it is only for the 99-04's porbally dropped working on it for the same reason they stopped making the 5.0 shaker "new parts for the 05"
well we still have our old mustangs!

:bang: You are absolutely right!!! They need to focus more on making parts for the older cars because right now there are lots of them. Once again...another example of the 05 hogging up all the glory and attention of the aftermarket! :nono:

As long as the fox-body is still around, you'll always get good cheap parts for your 5.0.

im sure if you want a shaker for the 94-95 you can make the other kit work. the intake isnt that much higher i dont think. you could probably buy the kit and do a little fabrication and make it look right.

I watched again this morning......he has the Vortech Blower and Intercooler(on the 96 GT) putting 301rwhp.........no thanks to the shaker.

301 was within the shop, Joe(the owner) expects to get more on an open road.

*cough*cervinisramairkit*cough*

just cuz i love the dual Ram Air scoops like on the 71-73
but honestly, if i had a 94-98 i'd have put the Cervinis kit on. but then again, this is only the advice of an egotistic and unexperienced teenager. who knows what could happen?

Yea...stinks that the shaker is no longer functional because of the extra piping from the blower to the intercooler, but with 301+rwhp...the shaker won't matter anyway.

The Cervini's kit seems like a real good deal compared to the shaker and is real easy to install. The only problem I see is having enough clearance for a supercharger and all the tubing.

i was and still am considering the cervinis ram air kit, i love the way that hood works, but i was thinking bout just adding a cold air intake wich (if the ads are to be beleived ) would add the sam amount of power while costing me much less then the hood/ram air kit plus a trip to the body shop...lots to consider  because that (estimateing here ) $400 or so dollars that i save could be used to buy me ohh say that tri-ax ive been wanting and a few other goodies. :bang: decisions are hard but im still saving so i got time to scratch my head
