Here it is again, Shaker Scoop question?
Ok,
I was watching Horsepower TV on Spike, and noticed........Joe....I think had a functional shaker scoop on his 96 convertible GT. Luckily they have nice cars on there, it's the only way I can put up with their puns and bad jokes.
I didn't know there was a shaker set-up for the 94-98, I'm just wondering if he used a 99-04 system, and cut a hole in the stock hood.
I noticed it was a continual project car, so I was just wondering if any of y'all knew what he did the first episode.
If not, does anyone know about Shakers for the 94-98 system. I haven't seen any even after checking mrbodykit.com . Any advice or info is welcome.

Was it a black car? If so, I'm not exactly sure what they did for the shaker. The only time I ever really see it is in the background and I saw one episode where they put the cobra brakes on. It's a real nice car, they need to have a whole episode for once on it...
Yea it was a 1996 black conv GT. He changed the headlights and gave it euro-tail.... barf .
I think it might be called "Project Nightmare", cause my TV info said the episode was called "Project Nightmare Blower". Of course they put a Vortech supercharger on the engine.

Yes, the car has a functional shaker hood. There is a kit available for the 96-98GT from CDC (classic design concepts) for like $795.00.

No, not really. I've read in a magazine (I think it was in the product review section of 5.0Mustang & SF) that CDC was working on a kit for the 94-95 5.0L's, but for some reason, they don't have it available on their site yet. But keep an eye out for it though.

In any case, :notnice: . Not as good looking as the CDC shaker. Just my $.02.

i read the article on the 5.0 SN-95 shaker, i love cdc's shaker kits i think they look awesome, it got me psyched since i always wanted one for my 95. after i read the article i even began setting aside money to purchase it. however... after several months of waiting and a few ignored emails i finally got a tech on the phone. the 94-95 5.0 shaker has been dropped due to problems with hight (the engine sitting to high or something) they werent happy with it and dropped working on it in leiu of developing parts for the new 05's. :bang: :bang: well im very dissapointed, and so yes the 5.0 guys are left out in the cold on this one. (they did say the might resume working on it in the future but it didnt sound as if it were high up on their to do list. its a shame , shakers are awesome...oh well have to spend my $800 else where lol

If it's a hood clearance issue, then just buy an aftermarket hood and cut a hole on top. It shouldn't be TOO hard to do!
