HELP!!!! running rough
Sorry for the long explanation, but here goes.
Ok, so my car has been drinking more gas than usual. So I cleaned the air intake, put a clean filter on, checked the spark plugs and changed them( they looked really old), and checked the fuel injectors. The #1 injector had a chip off of it right by the o ring that fell off when I pulled it out. So I got a new injector to replace it.
I get everything hooked back up and I get a misfire on #8. I checked all the plugs again, but it's still running rough. WTH? it seems to idle almost normal, but when I accelerate it's rough.
Oh btw, it's a '99 GT

Well I unplugged the battery and left it for a while. When I came back and hooked the battery back up the idle was still rough. I turned the ignition on and off several times and still no change. I think my multimeter may be bad. When I checked all the injectors and coils this morning I got no reading at all. So I figured what the hell I'll give it another try and suddenly it runs fine.
I'm convinced the odd ball injector was or is the source of the problem. As soon as I can I'm just going to replace all the injectors and coils

Most likely a coil. Ford coils a lot of times just go bad. Sometimes you can ohm them and they ohm ok but still cause a misfire. If it happens again and shows what cylinder move that coil to another and see if it follows if so replace that coil pack. Also check the coil boot for cracks sometimes they'll just arc out a hole in the boot and cause your miss.
