I'd do a quick search. This has been answered hundreds of times.

short tubes tend to have more gains in the high rmp range where as long tubes tend to show more gains in the lower rpm's. Long tubes acually show better gains throughout the rpm range. short tubes are not worth the time, effort or cash

not sure where you are getting that info glenn but long tubes will have a larger gain on higher end, its only very low end that there can be a tiny lose or no power gain at all but they make up for it with great mid to top end power.

Long tubes are more expensive and require mid pipe change as well, shorties can be added by themselves and are cheaper.

So short tube if on budget, long tube if you want largest gain...

long tubes are used on trucks more because of the added low end power.
Generally, the longer the individual tubes, the more scavenging occurs at lower speeds. In theory, this gives the long-tube headers a longer, broader torque curve that starts at a lower rpm. The shorties will be more suited to higher rpm, and perhaps stellar at one narrow rpm band where all the physics come together.

Now I know that test is for a truck but on a car engine you will see the same results.
I could find several other sources but I don't have time right now.

oh what the heck here's another one

You didn't read the articles did you? Because they supported what I said.

In both articles long tubes raised the power up in the rpm both had better peak hp with the longtubes as well as the torque curve moving higher up in the rpm.
