when i start my car it turns over and starts but its like its about to stall out, it has done it once or twice but mostly the tach drops and then goes back up after a few seconds, also when im driving sometimes its gets very sluggish, do you guys know what it could be, i just replaced the pcv valve, so i dont think its that, maybe egr?

-thanks

Almost sounds liek the iac may be acting up, but it would help greatly to know what Scothew asked as far as when it actually has the problem.

Yeah the IAC was my guess, but more details on when it acctually happens is what would help determine.

It really sounds like the IAC then, to me at least. It is far from uncommon for them to start sticking on a 4.6. You can take it off and clean it with some carb cleaner if the problem continues. That may fix it for a while. No need really to replace it until you try cleaning it first.
