Saturday I went to the dealer (after cancelling my 2005 v6) and at 4 pm I drove home a Torch Red 2004 GT 5-speed! Not much else to say except I I really love the car!

Here's a link to a couple crappy pictures of it in my driveway...

I don't know what's wrong with the pictures... They aren't very good, so I'll try to get a couple better shots and see what the deal is with my photo gallery.

As for mods, I'm going to be going light at first and until the warranty is up. I know I'll be getting window tinting to protect the leather and I'll probably go for a cold air intake and Magnaflow exhaust. It's a pleasure to drive. The only problem I'm having is that the shift from 1st to 2nd is a little rough at times. Anyone have advice for making it a smoother shift?

Its just the crappy transmission ford puts in the cars...same thing happens to me everyday....especially now that the cold weather is back again. They have a TSB out for it though so send it to the dealer

Welcome to the world of Tremac! T-3650 One piece of CRAP for a transmission

Bad pictures but you r car still looks good...congrats and good luck!
After a while that spongy clutch and sloppy transmission will get the best of you

I had a 03 GT Silver....traded it for a 04 Mach Yellow..Boy what a difference...clutch is tighter and heavier....shifting compared to the GT is heavenly...but still sloppy

I agree with Mustanger, the first thing you should do in our models is change out your shifter, I put the tri-axe in mine, easy install, took about an hour with a friend who thought he knew what he was doing, and really just made it take longer. But it makes shifting much much nicer, you wont feel like your gonna change the radio stations with you knuckles by accident.

I probably will get the Tri-Ax shifter quite soon. Deal? X-Plan price with the ford incentives going on. There's not much of a demand at all for any kind of Mustang other than a V6 where I live. It was still a good price.. The sticker says 26,115 and it was bought for right over 20k.
