I just used my new Scan Guage to check my average gas mileage on a 250 mile trip (about 30 miles of it was city driving) and I got 28 mpg! This was in the car listed in my Sig. I thought I would share this info because I see MPG threads from time to time from people trying to decide if they want a SC.

Total miles on a tank I get is around 90-120 Either my car needs some work or I'm too heavy on the pedal...

I drive about 80mph for 10 minutes, to and from work, every day, so that's probably why...

That's sweet Whit! I know we have almost an identical set up, but I don't think I get that mileage.

nice! when we went to NYC last winter we got just under 29. but my 04 is completely stock. i guess cruising around in an S/C car doesnt hurt the MPG until you hit the gas and then you can watch the fuel needle drop! LOL and PAT, yeah i think something is wrong w/ your car. i get better gasmileage in my 92 and my engine is rarely below 4000 rpms!

With a procharger my uncles 5.4 SOHC truck picked up 2mpg with some leadfoot'd driving, also, centrifugals seem to get better gas mileage then roots/screw blowers.

I was wondering if you and TacBear wouldnt mind posting some soundclips of your cars next to the Supercharger... I noticed you have the S-Trim, and he has the SQ... I was curious as to the difference in sound between the 2.. Thanks guys!!

My friend I would say you have a problem somewhere. At times I drive my 03 extremely hard and still get 18 mpg+. Last time I checked my mileage on a 200 mile trip, driving an average of 75 mph, the mileage per gallon was 27.9. You can refer to the mods that have been done too.

Thanks guys!! Hopefully mine will sound like The Rocks once it I get it back... Spoke with Vortech yesterday, and they said the car is done.. They are just going through calibrations and tunning... Should be any day now..

I'll make a video as soon as I get the car home..

Something else to note, Tacbears car has the same exhaust, so they sound the same, just the whistle is a bit quieter on his.

Matter of fact, I think the only difference in our setup is the Plenum.

17 MPG daily drive with little freeway time, with Supercharged DOHC 4V Cobra. The exhaust and K&N CAI helped a little.
