Flat spot in high rpms

Flat spot in high rpms
Everytime i drag race like say i bring it up to 6000rpm and bang the next gear it falls flat on its face for a second and then comes back into it. Just wondering if anyone knows what could cause this? Oh and the car is a 1999 mustang gt 2v. Only does it in high rpms
