i got the 10th anniversary calipers for my GT, and was wondering if i needed the ss hoses or if they were for road racing more than daily driving. also does anyone know where i can get the rear brake bracket kit cheap or is http://www.nthcoast.com/Products/Fo...eBracketKit.htm the best anyone can find. also can i just find the moan braces and brackets by themselves, i already have rotors. thanks all.

SS lines can help any car in preventing brake fade. For your normal daily driver, normally they are not needed. Now if you participate in any autoX, road race, frequent dragracing or anytime you are stopping alot from high speeds or on the brakes hard alot, I would recommend them.

The last place I would cut corners is on my braking system, if you are spending that money for the pricey calipers, why not go all out for the heavy-duty lines?

digging up an old thread, but SS lines will not help with brake fade. They'll help with pedal feel since they don't expand like stock rubber lines. You'll notice that your pedal feels much firmer with SS lines. They do look nice too.

Also keep in mind that SS lines are a wear item, much more so than the stock rubber lines. If you do fit SS lines to your car, make sure you check them annually for wear and tear, they'll need to be replaced much more often than the stock rubber lines.
