It's too hard for a pic. It is on the left side. Doesn't seem to be the intake itself. Does heater core sound good??

Heater core is under the dash on the inside of the car. 97? GT or v6? I have a mach 1 so I'm not familiar with the sohc 4.6 since I have the dohc. But I have a 3.8 as well. I'm just trying to picture what would be behind the intake. Well the heater hoses would probably run back there going into the firewall to go to the heater core. Leak up high or low?

If it were coming from the front I'd venture to say it's probably a crack along the thermostat portion of the intake. The manifold's on the 4.6s are total plastic crap, but try a bottle of Barr's StopLeak. It's not a permanent fix, but it gets the job done unless you've got a big leak.

hey, did you get this problem fixed? If not it is the nipple for the heater hose on your intake. common problem with the plastic intake.Probably going to have to replace whole intake.
