Hi. I was wondering if anyone has seen any decent ideas to remove the clock that is on top of the dash on a 97 GT for example. I never really liked that bump there and wonder if:

1) It can be easily removed by first removing the radio console and then getting under there?
2) Any ideas of any other gadgets or plates that I can replace it with?

What has been done with this by others?

Thanks.

Elio, it isn't really a problem removing the radio, 2 minute job if you have the extractors. As for the clock, I do not know what you would replace it with. They got rid of it 1999-on..

Actually the 98's didnt have the clock either. The only thing I have seen to replace it is a guage pod.

There is no need to remove the radio in order to get the clock out. Simply lift up on the clock and it should pop right out. The only thing holding it in the dash is a clip or two. It will give a bit of resistance, but it is not screwed or bolted in in any way.
