In the last week I have noticed that my clock is working only about half the time.
No rhyme or reason to it either, sometimes it works, other is doesn't. When it is on, the time is correct. Lightbulb loose possibly? Car is 95 so it has the pod on top of the dash. Any ideas guys? If so, how do I take it apart?

Are you ABSOLUTELY SURE its not working? My 94 behaves like that, only it truely IS working. A lot of the time the light shines on it weird, and it doesnt look on... ...also, if my lights are on, the clock is VERY dim, and I can only see it at night.

Positive. I know what you are talking about with the dim light with the headlights on. It was off last night when it was dark and I should have been able to see it clearly, and then just like magic it was non again this morning going to work...
That is why it is confusing me.

Id just pry out the clock, and then unplug, clean the conections with rubbing alcohol and a q-tip, then reconnect... ...hopefully thatll fix it...

...otherwise, its something more difficult.

No need to pry the clock out, just lift up on it with your hand, they snap out pretty easy.

I took it out, and cleaned the connection as advised and now it does not work at all. It briefly flashed the other day when I started the car, but has otherwise been dark for about a week. Could the connection be bad on the other end perhaps? does the clock plug into something somewhere or is it just straight into the wiring harness? I know I may sound dumb in this respect, but truthfully I am....
As always, any advice is much appreciated.

Do you know anyone else with a 94-97 stang you could try the clock out of? You could always pick up another one on ebay for like $5-$10 if not. I am not sure how it wires in, I am not really good when it comes to electrical stuff in a car, other than wiring up a radio every now and then.
