Buying a gt

I am looking at a 94 gt convertible auto I drove the car yesterday it is showing 134,000 and the odometer is broke but the car seems sound and quiet after driving several with 4.6's the 5.0 seems really weak is this normal or is the 5.0 tired

there was a 30hp bump in hp when the 4.6 came out and I would also think the 5.0 may be a little tired after 138k miles. Maybe the cats are a little used up or maybe mufflers a little clogged or both it may need a tune up also.

it really depends on what 4.6L car you have driven. If it was a 96-98 then the 5.0 shouldn't feel much different but a 99+ 4.6 is much faster then the 5.0 in stock form.

but the 5.0 responds really well to mods and could prob use a good tune up with the miles on it.

You could do that.

the 2v 4.6 in 96-98 has different heads, intake and i beleive cams then the 99-04 GTs but those can all work on the 98 if added together.
