Buying an 02-03 GT
Well, I have been driving about 6 months now, and so my dad is ready to let me get my own car, now that I have driven his while I became a better driver. Anyways, I have been looking for an 02-03 GT (mineral grey, black, or true blue automatic) and have been unable to find anything. Almost all in my area are either manual, or not the color I am looking for. Furthermore the kbb value on an 02 GT is about 13, 650 in Excellent condition, and too many disillusioned sellers are asking about 17K
Anyways, can anyone help me out, because I would like to have my very own stang for second semester and this gives me about a month to find a car I like. Sorry if this is the wrong forum? I didn't know where to post. Pleeeeeeeeeaaase help me, all I want is a stang of my own

Why not try to look for a stock, low miles, '01 Bullitt GT?
Available in True Blue, Black, or Dark Highland Green. It's in your price range, and the upgrades make it a great deal.
Check this out: Bullitt web site > Forums > Steve's Used Car Lot
or
Collector Car Trader select "BUY", fill in the required info and type the following in the corresponding categories:
2001, 2001
Ford
Mustang
10000, 16000
Bullitt (then hit return)

Why don't you buy a 98 Cobra? It would be the same price or cheaper and would have more power. The Bulllit Mustang is also a Great idea, go to www.ebaymotors.com they have roughly 900 stangs for sale
lol i know exactly what ur goin thru mach one....my suggestion is if u want an 02-03GT... look around on www.carmax.com thats where im looking for my 99-04GT i want...theyre fairly priced actually and usually sub 50 and alot around 20-30k on the car so its slightly broken in for ya already and alot of them are around 15k and below...thats one reason why im going there, no markup..cant haggle the price down but the prices are private party value usually anyhow!
ive had a couple of friends buy from them and would actually go back and buy again, so imma go up there too when i find the right color
ps - yea my mom doesnt dig the stick tranny either...but she's not paying for the car, i am so i say what goes on my car

Get a manual! You won't regret it!
Seriously, I just got an '04 GT in October and I'm so glad I got a manual. Of course, I was a little apprehensive due to not being all that comfy with manuals, but within a week I was having the time of my life.
The only time it's not much fun is in traffic, but my clutch is very light compared to my dad's '86 Trans Am, so it's not that big of a deal.
