Two Teens Cited for Racing Cars
HILLSBOROUGH -- An Orange County deputy charged two 17-year-olds with speed competition after he saw one of them trying to pass another on a double yellow line Tuesday evening.
The deputy charged ______ ______, 17, of __________________, Hillsborough who was driving a 1994 Acura and _______ _______, 17, of ____________, Durham who was drving a 2004 Ford Mustang.
The deputy wrote in his report that he saw the Mustang trying to pass the other car at Dimmocks Mill rd. near Ben Johnson rd. He stopped the Mustang and asked the driver, ______, why he was trying to pass the other car on the double-yellow line, the report said.
________ told the deputy that he and his friend were trying to figure out who had the faster car, the report said. The deputy cited _______ for speed competition.
The other car driven by ______, did not stop, but the deputy located him at his home and cited him for speed competition, the report said.

Now, why would you be trying to see who had the faster car unless the Acura was an suped up Integra or, which I doubt, an NSX?
A 94 Acura v.s. a 2004 Mustang. Stupid....

Legend vs Base Stang.......that's a v6 versus a v6.
Pretty much all other Acura's have v4's........if I remember right even a 94 Integra GSR only had 160 hp. The GT would blow it away.
I guess it wasn't a GT or else it wouldn't have been a race.

All they would do is give you a heavy fine, suspend your license, put you in jail, and confiscate your car.
okay. could be the way I'm reading this, but I think I'd take just the ticket.

honda makes mostly all I-4s. they have an acura I-5 (acura legend type II) but the "big dawg" which is the NSX which is the V6 with VTEC. the 2 door accords have V6 also with VTEC but the weight of them and the fact they dont come in a manual until the newer ones, make the slush boxes. i have a Honda that i raced a ton of mustangs which i beat. not saying hondas are better than fords or the other way, but put a 210 hp engine in a 1700lb car and it will be fast.
