the tint (limo rear and qtr's, 35% front) is on, the kenwood double din gps/dvd/cd HU is installed, sirius is mounted and hooked up. stupid sexy powder coating is all thats delaying my baby from returning home from the cold lonely shop.

the kicker? I'm driving my 2001 M3 (for sale! ), and have come to the realization that after only a week, the stang is my preferred vehicle. The beamer's engine whines too much, the shifter is too tall, the throw too long, the ride too jarring. I can't believe my 10+ year dream car has already lost so much in my eyes, but it's a true testament to the wonderful product ford has put out! Now if only the stang had the m's seats, handling, and open air cabin!

tek: i paid retail for the "package" at the dealer, mostly because they included it in my financing and extended warrantee. It's a kenwood excelon, their website calls the package "P-NAV7015" but you probably won't find it listed anywhere as that. It's simply the ddx7015 DVD/CD/CDR/HD radio/Sirius/MP3 headunit and kna-dv4100 hideaway nav computer.

i went with the kenwood because it was a nice complete package that was flush and OEM looking. The avic, while exciting, had some *horrible* reviews due to fan noise coupled with the fact that I think the flip out screen is incredibly tacky looking. I should have the car back tomorrow or friday, and will document the changes for everyone!
