Dr. Gas has been proven many times over to make more power than any other X-pipe out there. It has a more X-forward design and also it has an amazing sound.

Money should not be the primary concern when it comes to an aft cat. If it were my money, I would go with Borla.

I've honestly never heard of Dr. Gas...seems like a gimmick LoL. Bassani is a solid brand to buy into but there is always something better out there. Just research and get what appeals to you...not what someone else thinks...heck..it's your car not theirs.

my friend has bassani on his cobra sounds great. have heard of dr gas but never used any of their products. but like mr mustang said if you can afford it go for borla. they have one of the best and unique sounds on the market. and a lifetime warranty is always nice too

I purchased a 2.5" fox body pipe back a few years ago, but ended up letting my bro use it when he had a brand X nova.
At the time he cobbled together a 3 inch exhaust system using 2 pipes and 2 double chamber flows, no cross over at all. Car was loud and even though he didn't realize it soft on the bottom end.
I talked him into using the 2.5 Dr Gas-X pipe to quiet the car down.
He installed it and it made a big differnece in sound, but the shocker was the BIG difference in the bottom end. It was a noticable seat of the pants improvement in the bottom end of the engines power band.
Result = I wont even consider anything less than using an X-pipe on any application and when it comes to a custom exahust system I whole heartedly reccomend the Dr. Gas X synchronizing crossover.

Even though this has dropped off the radar, I got my SLP X-pipe in today. The stainless steel construction is nice, but if they still make the DR-Gas X-pipes like they did when I originally got my fox-body kit, the DR-G piece is alot better in construction. The SLP X-pipe is kinda booger welded on the inside, not enough to effect flow I think, especially in the case of an X-pipe, but the DR-G piece didn't have this.
That said, the DR-G pipe is also aluminumized steel IIRC which is easier to work with.
