any pictures?

I won an auction on Ebay for a K&N CAI. Now it has an unexpected delay in the shipment. I do not know when I will get it! I am trying to find something else. All I see is the K&N 57-2511. Does anyone have any pictures of this installed on a Mustang? Before you ask, the diagram from k&nfilters.com does not work for my screwed up head. I need to see the real thing, not a drawing. Thanks so much!!

Does it come with any tubes to make it longer from the fender to the throttle body? I just cannot see it being long enough with what is included.

Yeah, it says to use your stock air box assembly. I do not want to do that! I want a more open look to it.
I want one with a heat shield and a black tube going to my throttle body. K&N preferably.

The one you listed just looks like the filter and adaptors. This is the K&N I have on mine:

http://www.knfilters.com/search/prod...Prod=57-2519-3

This is the complete CAI kit and sounds like what you're after.

I can take a picture of mine installed tonight and post it tomorrow if you need it.

Yes, that is EXACTLY like what I want for my car!! Mine is a 95 though with a 5.0 instead of a 4.6. I do not think it will hook up right. I think. The one I bid on came with some smaller black tube pieces of black pipe. It had 2-3 blue connectors with it. They are unsure on when they will get any more. I spent $126.98 for it. I am looking for something else around that price. I can go over it, but not too much! Thanks!!
Is the black tube called something else? Maybe a more technical term!! See ya!

Yeah, that is close. I want to buy K&N if I can though. I don’t know why, I just do! I would like to stay black also. Again, I remembering seeing it done that way and I really liked the look! I do not care about HP gains, just looks. I cannot even handle what power my car has now. I have a traumatic brain injury and I cannot process the info going at higher speeds. I would love to make my car fast, but that would be very bad with my situation!! In the past I was ***** to the wall everywhere I went. In my 4 cylinder stuff, too. Now I have a car that can go fast and I putt around like an older person! I buy everything now for looks or to make it louder!! I am screwed up, I know!

My good friend has BBK on his 01 Cobra, I like the K&N look better!

Sorry to hear that. I did a search on K&N's site and didn't see any kits for the 95's other then what you already have. I aslo didn't see any black inlet pipe set ups around either but there could be one out there.

Thanks for trying to look for me!! I look and look but am coming up with nothing, too. I just know there is one out there if I can just find it. I told the guy just to refund me on that Ebay one. It was just about what I wanted! Oh well though. I am pretty sure I can find something else for my car!! Now it is on to another want on my wish list.

Does any one know of the differences in the 5.0 and the 4.6 setup wise? Would a 4.6 kit work with a 5.0 kit? I do not know how to find that out even. Thanks again!!

The 5.0 is a different set up then the 4.6 so you won't be able to use a 4.6 kit. check out this site:

http://jlttruecoldair.com/zencart/in...x&cPath=1_9_37

I saw other JLT kits with black inlets, this one is red but they may make it in black as well. The link also explains that the set up of the 5.0 makes it difficult to make a kit for them.

Thanks!
I want to buy one off of Ebay because it is a lot cheaper. I do not have the money to go spending a lot for new name brand CAI kit. I see some all the time but they are not K&N. They just say a washable filter. I have a K&N filter on my car right now. Is there anyway to turn my car into a CAI with some minor modification? I just thought of that. On those JLT kits, what happened to the MAF? I thought you hooked it back up to it? I will go thinking some more of what route to go.

I understand, it looks like you may have to use the K&N kit you posted originally. You might be able to find a seperate inlet to dress things up a bit.

I have been e-mailing back and forth with a guy who sells on Ebay.

He is going to sell me a K&N kit, with some chrome tubes and throw in a heat shield. I told him everything I wanted and he said me can get together all I need to wrap this up. Brand new for $175 shipped. I am looking forward to it!

Now I am just trying to decide what kit I want to buy! A fender well kit or an open looking one! I like the open look much better but I am unsure if it will work right!

Please tell me if it will work or not!! That will determine which set to buy. I do not know, I am just going off of looks. Thanks!!

Both will work well. As you only want it for looks I would say go with the engine bay (open look) kit. It is going to be easier to maintain.
Sounds like the logical choice for you.
