thought i would ask if any gearheads and mustang lovers want to take a gander at how much horsepower my 01 gt auto is putting out. i have no where to dyno in my area, so i thought i might rely on some experts.

mods:

diablo tuner
motive 3.90 gears
steeda cat back exhaust
k & n cold air intake system with filter
gt intake spacer
accufab 70mm throttle body
accufab upper intkae plenum

and i'm seriously considering the steeda underdrive pulleys.

think i am getting close to 300, or am i a ways off yet?

Maybe close to 300 flywheel horsepower, but sadly not anywhere near 300rwhp...

Yea, you will need to get a head package w/cams, or forced induction to reach 300 Wheel HP. I have done every other bolt-on shy of heads, except headers. Even then, you would be looking at around 270ish max.

See my sig to get an idea of what mods will yield.

Dont forget he is putting his power through a auto tranny so its gonna eat up at least 10 more hp.

If I had it to do over, I would have just gone with a S/C from the beginning! :bang:

From my signature without the March Ram Air kit still not installed yet in a manual I am putting down about 270rwhp on a nice cool day. My base run before I put any mods on for a base line number I put down 235rwhp, wich was really surprising. With all the bolts ons and some sort of Ram Air kit and heads/cams and headers, in my opinion, should easily get to 300rwhp in a manual. That is really good if you what to keep it "juice" free.

Automatics lose so much HP.

There was a great shootout in the latest issue of MM&FF about 2 valve 4.6's. All were naturally aspirated. The last place car was running with mild bolt ons and slicks in the high 12's. You might want to take a look and see what mods they were using.
