Anyone gimme a tip, please! I have a 94 Gt and have blown bags on driver and passenger side. I have seen some replacement cover advertised and that is what I am looking at. Any ideas will help. Thanks!

There is a thing called a Mexican Airbag. It is basicaly for cars going to mexico that do not require safety devices like airbags. The best place i've found for these is to contact Randy Stinchcomb, he's the parts manager at Liberty Ford. He will know exactly what you are talking about. His number is 410-655-2000 parts ext 5618

You gotta keep in mind, depending on the state, if you don't replace the airbags in your car, you can get in DEEP trouble ($$$), and that is even if you flip the car after the fact.

yeah, i agree. if you can get airbags i would replace them. the life you save may be your own. and the cost of new bags might be expensive. but i have heard there is like a 2000 fine for not replacing them

I would definitely replace the airbags. Interesting, though: depending on the amount of damage to the car; the insurance company would probably total it out of both airbags deployed.

Your user name and profile both say you drive a '94 Cobra, but your post says it's a GT.

something to consider guys, alot of the modular racers I know are removing their airbags and putting in these delete panels to save weight, but keep the factory interior finish that most sanctioning racing bodies require for a true-street type car.

blown airbag

I have a 1994 Mustang my son was nice enough to test the air bag system by running into someone. In replacing them do I just need to replace the air bag or do I need to replace the air bag sensor also?

Thanks Dave
