95 GT guage problem
ok so here goes....my 95 GT doesnt seem to know exactly how hot or cold it wants to be. My temperature guage has a problem and my local mechanics dont know what to say. When i shut the car off, if i step on the brake pedal the temperature needle buries itself...it move with the car off, going past the "H" and keeps going, pointing at the passenders door. Not only does it do this, but also when i turn electrical things on, mainly my headlights and fog lights, the car gets "hotter" according to the guages. Its actually possible for me to make the temp guage move without truning the car on (even when its been sitting for hours) all i have to do is turn on the lights and pump the brake pedal. Now when i driving in the summer with the ac on and my lights on this gives me the impression that the car is running HOT. the needle will be on the "A" in the word normal, now ive had the pemp check with the accesories running by my mechanic (with a laser temp gun) he said the engine was normal temp the guage is screwed up.
no mechanics wantto be botherd with it because they would have to charge me labor but it might take them "hours" to find it. anyone else have this problem? or know what it mght be? i dont really have money to blow and not have it fixed and with the summer coming i dont feel like having to worry bout how hot my car really is because my guage is wacky. so please i know this is a long post but i need help

That is terribly annoying. I wish you luck on getting that fixed. My old '95 Ford Ranger had all kinds of electrical problems, so maybe Ford had issues back then. Hav you taken it to a dealer?
It's spelled "gauge", by the way.

ive thought about taking it to the dealer but i dunno island ford (my local ford dealer) has a rep for not being very coustomer friendly. they actually refused many times to work with the local mustang and ford club on such things as local car shows and the mustangs 40th anniversary, they want nothing to do with it.
